A multiple-choice and short answer test for John Steinbeck’s novella, The Pearl.
- 15 Multiple-Choice Questions
- 5 Short Answer Questions
- Answer Key for All Sections (Including Suggested Short Answer Content)
- Optional Simplified Scoring Rubric for Short Answer Section
This test can be used as a single, comprehensive test on The Pearl or split into two assessments by using some of the short answer questions separately as their own exam. (The five short answer questions are formatted to be split onto three pages. This arrangement allows instructors to use one, three or five of the short answer questions, depending on preference and time constraints.)
An optional simplified scoring rubric is included to help bring clarity/transparency and speed to the grading process. It can be copied and shared with students (or not) as preferred.
